About us
Welcome to Junkerwerk
Junkerwerk® is passion, expertise and innovation. Thanks to a process developed by us, we are breaking new ground in the processing of PE-foam. Complex, three-dimensional - we can realise almost any request for relevant PE-foam parts based on our 40 years of experience in this field.
We combine tradition with modern entrepreneurship. The company was founded in 1887 in the knife and blade city Solingen and over the past four decades, the Linder family has become a market leader in the PE-foam area for the automotive industry but also for clients in the sport/leisure sector, medical technology and construction technology.
Correspondingly high are our demands into the quality of our products and the performance of our workforce. As a medium-sized company, our employees are very important to us. We know each other and are a team in which every single person is valued and listened to. This creates a motivated work environment where everyone is proud to follow Junkerwerk®’s company values: Structure, order, quality and passion for our product.

COMPRESSION TECHNOLOGY
COMPRESSION TECHNOLOGY
This process developed by Junkerwerk® allows the manufacture of PE-foam parts in almost any design. A wide range of colours and material densities can be used. The designer has thus no limitations when creating the PE-foam part.

VACUUM
TECHNOLOGY
TECHNOLOGY
VACUUM TECHNOLOGY
It is possible to manufacture with this technology three-dimensional parts with consistent wall thickness from 1 to approx. 10 mm. A tool specifies the desired shape, vacuum applies the heated PE-foam panel to the tool. These parts are specifically suited for large-scale sealing and insulating. Optionally, they can be welded or equipped with adhesive for fastening.

PUNCHING TECHNOLOGY
Two-dimensional PE-foam parts can be punched into any shape and material thicknesses between 1 and approx. 50 mm. A wide range of seals and insulation as well as swimming boards, swimming belts and much more can be produced. Often an adhesive is applied to the punched parts which is used to fix the part during assembly.

For many years, PE-foam seals (Polyethylene) by Junkerwerk Linder GmbH + Co.KG have had a firm place in the automotive industry. If OEM (original equipment manufacturer) or supplier, our products can be found - hidden in components, assemblies, under panels or in the bonnet - almost anywhere in the vehicle. Design variations are limitless and always very precisely manufactured.
Our PE-foam products ensure that cables are not rattling, that electronic components sit securely and that vibration and noises (NVH) as they can occur e.g. due to rugged cavities are significantly reduced. Invisible but effective.
Seal tailgate lock
This product reduces noise when closing the tailgate and is used as privacy screen (car metal is optically obscured).
Seal roof rail rear
Minimizes wind noise around the roof rail and ensures a clean optical transition between roof rail and car roof.
Seal upper strap fixing for child car seat
Fills a cavity around the rear seat and insulates the passenger compartment against wind and road noises coming from the trunk.
Seal roof rail front
Minimizes wind noise around the roof rail and ensures a clean optical transition between roof rail and car roof.
Seal A-column
Fills the free space behind the panel of the A-pillar and drains the water cleanly from the vehicle roof (prevents water from entering the passenger compartment).
Seal mirror triangle
Fills the cavity behind the mirrors and thus reduces the development of wind noises.
Seal A-column gusset
Fills a free space behind the fender and insulates the passenger compartment against engine noise.
Seal fender carrier
Fills a free space behind the fender and insulates the passenger compartment against engine noise.
Seal water tank
Fills a free space behind the fender and insulates the passenger compartment against engine noise. Furthermore, the product also prevents warm air from the engine compartment to get into the suction area of air conditioning unit.
Seal wheel arch liner
Fills the free space around the wheel arch liner and insulates the passenger compartment against wind and road noise.
Seal low temperature radiator
Used as attachment before the low temperature radiator for improved air supply.
Plug chain
This product seals necessary openings for assembly or repairs on the car.
Seal in the sills area
Fills a free space around the door sill and thus minimizes wind and road noise in the passenger compartment.
Foam pad door handle
Fills the free space between handle bracket and car metal and is thus used to minimize wind and road noise in the passenger compartment.
Seal B-column lock case TH below
Fills the free space and leads the Bowden cables to the lock case of the rear side doors.
Bracket for control unit
Encloses an electronic control device and fixes it in the space below the front seats in the vehicle.
Bracket for ALC control unit
Encloses an electronic control device and fixes it in the space below the front seats in the vehicle.

The material
Polyethylene foam by Junkerwerk® convinces with clear benefits:
- It is closed-cell, the water absorption is thus almost zero
- The specific weight is very low with 25, 30, 45 kg/m3, if necessary, we are also able to provide higher values
- It is soft even after thermoforming and thus able to fill gaps
- It is UV-resistant, chemical resistant, odourless and low fogging
- The temperature range is from –60°C to +115°C
- The foam can be removed without leaving residue
Our unique selling point:
Junkerwerk® PE-foam parts can be used up to +115°C!
